Motorola Solutions & D-Fend Solutions Counter-UAS

With the proliferation of drone technology, airspace security protection has become an indispensable part of public safety and national security. Motorola Solutions completed its acquisition of counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) leader for $1.5 billion D-Fend Solutions acquisition, announced that its powerful "RF cyber intervention technology" is officially integrated into Motorola's public safety ecosystem!

This acquisition marks an upgrade from traditional "air-to-ground" communications to a comprehensive security protection network that includes "low-altitude airspace safety."

What is D-Fend Solutions? Where does its technical strength lie?

Traditional anti-drone methods usually adoptSignal jamming or kinetic force destruction. However, these two methods are extremely risky:

Signal interference will also disrupt the normal radio communications of nearby hospitals, airports, or the police.

Hard-kill destruction (such as shooting down or destroying) easily causes falling debris to harm frontline personnel or civilians on the ground.

D-Fend's core patented technology is RF Cyber-Takeover::

Precision takeoverDo not interfere with legitimate communications; precisely intercept only the communication protocols of illegal/threatening drones.

Safe landingDirectly take control of the drone and guide it to a designated safe area to take over landing, avoiding secondary harm and collateral damage.
