Method 1 : Matching Process

Procedure

WRSM = Bluetooth Microphone

  • Confirm power supply
    Confirm that the host and the WRSMIt's on.
    On first boot up: WRSM will ask the user to select a language or a tone, and then it will automatically enter pairing mode.Select your preferred language and press PTT.
    • (1) English (2) French (3) Non-language (prompts PTT only)
  • Maintain matching distance
    Make sure the distance between the WRSM and the host is within 1 meter for successful pairing.

  • Start Connection
    When listening to WRSM playback "Ringing ToneThe representative host is asking for a connection.
    At this point, press 2 times "Turn on the key."to start the connection process.
  • Confirmation of successful connection
    When the WRSM is successfully connected to the host computer, there will be a corresponding tone/indication display (see Figure 1. below).
  • Completion of Matching
    Your WRSM has been successfully connected and is now ready to use.

Method 2 : Reset the microphone settings / and pairing to a new microphone

  1. Enter Matching Mode
    • Make sure that WRSM is off, then press and hold the PTT key + Power keyuntil you hear the voice prompts:"Motorola Solution Power On""Cleared""Searching for Host"
  2. Cell phone search and connection
    • In the phone's Bluetooth settings, search for and select the Bluetooth Microphone Make a connection.
  3. Completion of Matching
    • After successful connection, the Bluetooth microphone will start playing music. At this point, press the Power buttonYou can hear the voice prompts:"Connected"

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can't find the device/repeatedly can't connect: Bring the two within 1 meter of each other and on the car/phone "Delete " old Bluetooth records; "Press and hold the PTT and Power On buttons" to allow RSM to re-pair.
  • Connected but no sound or cannot fire.: Verify that the car/cell phone has Bluetooth audio/accessory settings enabled, that the firmware supports Wireless RSM, and that the model number is MOTOTRBO (XPR/DP/e Series) Compatible Operations-Critical RSM(APX requires the corresponding Mission-Critical version).
