Error Code #101005

When reading or writing settings on a Motorola radio using MOTOTRBO CPS 2.0, the following error message may appear:

Error Code #101005 Codeplug version not supported

This error prevents CPS from reading or writing radio configuration data (Codeplug).

• Software: MOTOTRBO CPS 2.0
• CPS Version: 2.153.167 or below
• Radio Model: MOTOTRBO DMR
• Operation: Read or Write Radio

Cause of the problem

This issue typically occurs when the Codeplug version inside the radio is higher than the range supported by the currently installed CPS version.

For example, some radios that have undergone factory repair or warranty service at Motorola may have been updated to a newer firmware version, and older versions of CPS cannot recognize the new Codeplug format, resulting in error #101005.

Solution

Please update MOTOTRBO CPS 2.0 to:

• CPS 2.0 Version 2.155.258 or newer (Please contact your local dealer)
• or the latest official version currently released by Motorola Solutions

After completing the update, radio setting data can be read and written normally.
